The Grand, Covington

Kate and John had to dodge the rain for their wedding photos, but it all worked out in the end. Right after the first rain shower, we were able to get outside of the Marriott Rivercenter for Kate and John's 'first look' with the Roebling Suspension Bridge and the Cincinnati skyline in the background. Next stop was the "Sing the Queen City" (sign?...sculpture?) in front the the Freedom Center, which Kate really wanted to get. Finally, we made it to the very pretty P and G Plaza for some portraits. The rain started up again lightly at P & G Plaza, where the Wisteria-covered trellis kept us dry just long enough. We were able to get some lovely photos under the trellis before it could no longer hold back the skies and we had to retreat. Despite the rain we were able to get all the outside photos Kate and John wanted!

Their wedding ceremony was at the gorgeous St. Francis de Sales church, officiated by Deacon Michael Trimpe. They did their portraits before the ceremony so we quickly arrived at the reception at The Grand Covington. Kate and John greeted their guests during cocktails on the 3rd floor balcony overlooking the main ballroom below.
