Meet Jeff, Holly, and the family |
|
My wife Holly and I have been blessed with three wonderful children...
Helene, Cole, and Grant... and
2 cats.
We run Jeff Schaefer Photography out of our home and it is our sole occupation.
We love that Holly and I can be together and with the kids
while working, other than when at a photo shoot. Believe it or not, there is a lot
to do in addition to the photography sessions. But, I love what I do, and
hardly consider it 'work'.
I began studying photography in 1993 at the University of Cincinnati. I
graduated with a degree in computer programming, not
photography, but my passion for photography was set. I
studied photography as a hobby over the next 8 years, only dreaming of
a career in it, never even considering wedding
photography.

Then, in 2001 a friend asked me to photograph her wedding in New York City, and I was hooked.
Prior to her wedding, that same friend introduced Holly and me. So Anne... thanks for my family and
my career!!!
I love the fast pace of weddings and the unique variations each wedding
brings. For a photographer, wedding photography combines so
many styles of photography... portraiture,
fashion, photojournalism, action, landscape, architecture, still-life,
and fine-art. On a wedding day I get to wear many hats... business
professional, keen observer, storyteller, director, coordinator, even
psychologist... all fast paced and under pressure to deliver. There's never a dull moment,
and every wedding is different.
We made photography our sole occupation with the start of 2009 and couldn't be happier.
We love what we do and are thankful for so many awesome clients!
